Since about 1994, when the National Garden Railway Convention is east of the Rockies, a Garden Railroad Club on the West Coast puts on the “West Coast Regional Meet.”  This is a non-convention: no hotel, no vendor hall, no model contest, no clinics/workshops, etc.

It’s basically an intense weekend of layout tours, with an informal dinner/banquet on Saturday night, and perhaps some ride-on train rides.

The 2014 event will be held in the Redding Area on June 19, 2014, in the Sacramento area from June 20 – 22, 2014, and in the Reno, Nevada, area on Monday June 23..  Currently, we have over 30 layouts scheduled to be open!

There will be a “Sundaes on Friday” aboard a full sized train in Folsom, and the traditional BBQ dinner on Saturday.

Once again, Sacramento will be the place to be for Large Scale railroading!
